Zappo is a sports discovery and booking platform designed to make playing sports easier. Players can discover nearby venues, book courts, create matches and join games happening around them—all through one connected platform.
Finding a venue is only one part of playing a sport. Players also need available slots, enough people to form a game and an easy way to coordinate everything. These activities are often fragmented across phone calls, WhatsApp groups and manual venue enquiries. Zappo needed a digital platform that could bring venues, players and games together in one seamless experience.
Code and Thrive designed and developed Zappo as a mobile-first sports platform focused on reducing the friction between wanting to play and actually getting on the court or field.
The player experience brings together venue discovery, court availability and booking with community-driven match features. Users can search for nearby venues, explore sports and available slots, book a venue, create their own match or join games organised by other players.
Alongside the player experience, the ecosystem includes tools for venue partners to manage courts, pricing, availability and bookings, with administrative tools supporting platform operations.
The product was designed around a simple principle: make spontaneous and regular sports easier to organise. Instead of treating Zappo purely as a booking utility, the experience combines sports discovery with the social layer required to bring players together.
